Our 3D Printer

I have opened a discussion here in order to get some input on the 3D printer we will get for the space some time in the near future.  Feel free to let us know what you think.  The Da’ Vinci Junior is the current front runner.

I was wonder how I can get access to your 3D printer. I am building one for my senior project and I got it working, but the extruder body broke. Is there anyway I would be able to get access so I could print a new one? -Jacob

    Jacob,
Thank you for your question. There are several ways to get access to our 3D printer. I will list the options below.

    1. Place an order on 3D Hubs by following this link. You have the option of picking up the print when it’s done or coming in to pick it up if you’re local. https://www.3dhubs.com/atlanta/hubs/makerspace-forsyth (there is a button at the bottom of our home page as well)
    2. You can come in during one of our Open Build nights which we usually have on Tuesday nights weekly between 6pm and 8pm. We have day passes available for $6 which will give you access to tools and a mentor to help you with the project. You can pay at the door.
    3. This one is not noramally available. We have an upcoming 3D Print Intro. If you want to we could use your print as an example print that day and the print would be done at no cost to you. The event is this Thursday 12/03/15. Here is a link to the event details. http://makerspaceforsyth.com/maker-days/3d-printing-intro/

I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me at atorres@makerspaceforsyth.com if you have any questions.
